About the College
Establishment:
The Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences was established, and its first batch of students was admitted in 2001, as part of a group of five medical faculties: Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. Professor Hassan AbdulAziz Musa served as the founding dean of the faculty from its establishment until 2007. The faculty's postgraduate program began in 2006, offering Master's and Doctoral degrees by research in Medical Laboratory Sciences, including specializations such as Medical Microbiology, Medical Parasitology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Histopathology, and Immunology. In 2018, the Master's program by course was introduced in the same specializations except for Immunology. Location: Khartoum - Burri, eastern section of the university campus, Sudan.

1. To develop specialized technical personnel in the various branches of medical laboratories.
2. To exchange expertise and knowledge with peer institutions both within and outside the country.

5. To improve healthcare services in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Dean’s Message
At our institution, we always strive to offer advanced educational programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical training, based on the latest scientific developments and laboratory technologies in the fields of medical diagnostics, including medical microbiology, medical parasitology, hematology, immunology, clinical chemistry, histopathology, and molecular biology. We are also committed to continuously updating our curricula in accordance with international standards to ensure the quality of performance, academic outcomes, and the competence of our graduates in the local and global job market.
We firmly believe in the importance of scientific research as the foundation for health and scientific development. Therefore, we encourage faculty members and students to participate in applied research projects that help address health challenges. We also place special emphasis on field training through partnerships with healthcare institutions and reference laboratories to enhance professional competence, develop practical skills, and instill professional ethics and the values of social responsibility.
